This one jumped out at me but the other look like they will be hard. Let me print out the questions and relax on the sofa with a nice cold stout later today and give it another try. Right now I am totally stumped on the others. Is this a quiz that I would even have a chance of knowing the answers?

6. SPOLF! (4,5) FLIP FLOPS
This one jumped out at me but the other look like they will be hard. Let me print out the questions and relax on the sofa with a nice cold stout later today and give it another try. Right now I am totally stumped on the others. Is this a quiz that I would even have a chance of knowing the answers? CORRECT ....and yes I`m sure you will know some of them....but others are probably words that only the British use (as far as I know) I will give clues if you get stuck

3. Worn by men as well as jumbos. (6) Just a wild guess. Jumbo was the name of an elephant and elephants have TRUNKS and me wear trunks. Probably wrong but at least I'm trying.

10. Piece sung by a singer with a lisp? (5) I love this one THONG If you said song with a lisp that is the way it would sound
13. Useful in Japan or a kayak. (6) ANORAK
14. Thieves, by the sound of it. (8) This took a lot of different googling but I finally found that thieves are sometimes called KNICKERS.
15. Confused, so can miss wearing these. (9) MOCASSINS
