Are there known compatibility issues? Sonny MyMastadon is having problems and I suggested (back, in email) he inquire from you WHERE he might find help.
I'm also curious - I have a yen for my first taste of the Apple in the next gadget / tech stuff ACQUISITION epoch, just to see what all the BUZZ is about (I know the iPhone is way better than much of the competition in certain regards - clarity of recording sound and video and pictures).

Thanks, Frank - that's about all one can do until more detailed feedback arrives. =:^)

Frank - I would PRESUME "no problems" to be the general state of all TECHNOLOGY today, but we all TINKER and use "older systems" and older software and maybe Sonny needs to use his iPhone to web surf to this board (what a cramped KEYBOARD! <g>).
Thanks for checking things out, Frank.

Sonny was having some medical problems aand has not posted on his board since Friday- so maybe he is sick ? I hope he is not sick, but I'm concerned. He doesn't seem to have much of a RL support system, no close family that live nearby. Hope to hear from him soon.

I have a very different impression of Sonny's RL - I think he has a very abundant social network that he has built for himself locally with the people running just about every business or profession he finds himself in need of using. I think that is a skill or a gift or both, I agree he doesn't have nearby family but
other than not finding his way to various places on the first try sometimes, he seems to manage remarkably well, and the case in point that illustrates that is in the last email update from HIS board, the security guard at a place that didn't do what he needed DROVE TO the place that DID, so Sonny could follow him in his car. THAT strikes me as very able to harnass the resources and services ANY situation he finds himself in may require.

I agree with you that Sonny does have service people lined up to take care of various things. But the fact that he was driving himself when he was having breathing problems was VERY concerning. The security guard must have been extremely concerned too. I can't imagine that it would be normal for him to do that. He must have thought it was an immediately life threatening situation. This is not the time to be behind the wheel of a car, IMO. I have to surmise that Sonny does not have a close friend or family member that could have taken him to the hospital, or that he didn't realize how serious the situation was. I could be wrong. Maybe he is just subbornly independent. He must be OK now. While he hasn't posted here, he has posted to the Yahoo group. He didn't really answer Bertie's question though. I am still concerned and wish him the best.

I agree Sonny should more often consider being TAKEN TO doctor's and hospitals and clinics rather than driving there.

I especially miss Trip. He made me laugh so much once, with his answers to a quiz I put on, that I printed it off and funnily enough was reading through it two days ago. As for Frank, yes that is strange and of course it also means (as far as I know) that if any new person wants to join, they will be unable to do so without Frank (admin) to approve.

This happened on a Yahoo list- it was a dog list- the person who started it got angry and shut it down- there were only a few of us -we wanted to stay connected so we would sent emails for a while- then finally one person said I think I know how to set up another group and she did.The only problem was she got cancer and was getting all sorts of treatments while loosing but getting new jobs- she had no family & a boy friend who died in Afghanistan. We had no communication from her after she was having some new cellular type brain irradiation. So we asumed she passed. 2 people changed internet carriers- so there was no way they could get back into the group as the owner has to do this- we still can communicate with them on Facebook but not that Yahoo group.
