Wow!, Cheryl, I envy you. Nothing to envy here, my friend. After a while you learn how these quizzes that Val puts up work and you know the hidden clues to look for. But there have been some I have only been able to figure out a few answers and have to beg her to just give me the freaking answer. LOL

I'm drawing a blank on the last 3. Maybe a clue would help. And by the way, I've googled so many british (assuming it's british) meat dishes I'm getting nauseous. LOL You sure have some strange names for dishes over there.

5. ? a Lancashire one (6) This is a dish from Lancashire...Yum Yum had to google lancashire dishes and found HOTPOT.....okay I have to admit this one doesn't sound that bad (like Jellied eels, blood sausage, haggis, offal....I think I'll stop now before I puke LOL). But I don't even eat meat (always say I won't eat anything that once had a face).
18. Fire in response (11) Answer is COUNTERSHOT... I didn`t get that one either. I've never heard that word before
23. Hot meaty dish (6,3,5) Each word begins with C even with all my googling I still can't find a british hot meaty dish that fits the clues. Just give me the answer.
